PCLinuxOS Trinity Repository Installation Instructions

PCLinuxOS now uses DNF package manager instead of APT.

1. Configure the DNF repository (as root user)

For PCLinuxOS (R14.1.7)

For x86 64-bits architecture:

2. Install the Trinity desktop environment

dnf install trinity-desktop

3. (Optional) Install your locale translation package, e.g for French translation

dnf install trinity-i18n-French

Note: you can obtain a list of available TDE packages with the following command:

dnf search trinity-

4. (Optional) Set TDM as the default display manager

Manually edit file /etc/sysconfig/desktop and edit DISPLAYMANAGER as follow:

DISPLAYMANAGER=TDM

Then restart the 'dm' service or reboot the computer.
